Producer Nikki Wilson described the character as "the Doctor's cleverest and most strong-minded companion yet." Steven Moffat the new producer said it would be good to see the show at cinemas as long as it was "great and fantastic".<br> The last 'Movie' stared Paul McGann as the Doctor but failed to recreate the intensity of the TV series. I remembered queuing up to see the movie versions in the 1960's but these lacked continuity with the TV series and were individual episodes dealing with the Daleks. The first movie 'Doctor Who and the Daleks' in fact was a larger version of an original episodic serial 'The Dead Planet' first aired in 1963.</p> <p>But if there was to a movie who should be the monster or villain? The Daleks have now been overused, the Cybermen lack the drawing power.</p> <p>Another aspect that needs addressing is who would direct it? One aspect I noted with interest was the 'grittiness' that has been added especially the depiction of gore and violence.
