Ever wondered why Kubrick had HAL sing 'Daisy, Daisy' when it was been killed off in '2001 a Space Odyssey'?
Sounds suspiciously like Stephen Hawking to me.

The clip is incorrect in a couple of things. It wasn't the "late 50s" it was 1962 and it was Arthur C Clarke who saw the speech synthesis demo at Bell Labs and put it into both the book and the screenplay for 2001, not Kubrick.
