Hmmm....not keen on remakes...why is Hollywood so short of ideas now? Has the imagination of scriptwriters died or something? There are some great sci-fi books around with riveting story lines...why on earth don't they use some of them? Have you seen Idiocy? I'm beginning to think we're more than half way there now...LOL...

I think this film is supposed to have a 'green' message. The original came out during the cold war where we were scared we would blow ourselves to bits.
