Thank god. I thought it was another BBC 'search for a Nancy' show

There are any number of theories about who it may or may not be so it'll be interesting to see what happens :)!

I still think Michael Gambon would be a good doctor, or Bill Baily, or the guy who playes shaun slater in Eastenders.

    Right:

David Tennant - Not sure, Regeneration means a new body so technically it can't be him again...although nothing's been said officially about him leaving

John Simm - The Doctor becoming The Master? I doubt it

Jennifer Saunders - As much as I would like it to be her I don't think so

    Daniel Radcliffe - TOO young

James Nesbitt - I hope not however I fear that he's the most likely

Rhys Ifans and Damian Lewis - Either would be good but can BBC Wales budget stretch that far?

Billy Piper - Do me a favour!!!

    Aiden Gillen - Possibly

Adrian Lester - Unfortunately I can't comment as I've never watched Hustle...but why not?

I reluctantly have to pick James Nesbitt although I LOVE the thought of Bill Bailey being The Doctor :)

I was wondering (again due to the fact that nothing's been said) if they might be playing this as someone having a bad dream...but now I'm not so sure

    WE SHALL SEE!!! :)

One aspect a lot of people seem to have missed is that the 27 planets are 1 second out of alignment with real space so technically in an alternate universe. Will/can the effect on regeneration be altered outside of the Doctors own time line?
