The Sands of Time - Part 1

Tonight I start writing an episode of Doctor Who which I will open for other SciFi Group members to continue with the hopes we might write a best seller. Anybody interested?

The Sands of Time

Part One

The TARDIS seemed a hive of activity as the Doctor struggled with the controls, Donna just stood there perplexed by his urgency. "What's 'appening"? she gasped.
The Doctor resisted answering her preferring to concentrate on the matter at hand.
With an abrupt halt the TARDIS came to rest throwing Donna on her behind.
"What's 'appening"? she repeated. The Doctor turned to her and with a wry smile said "I don't know, want to find out"?
The TARDIS doors opened and the interior was bathed in very bright light.
With the Doctor leading, they stepped out onto an alien landscape.

The twin suns, one a red dwarf, shone down on the barren sandy soil, which glistened like mica. Considering all things it wasn't that hot, in fact it was quiet bearable, as the pair climbed a steep outcrop of rock.
Reaching the top the Doctor and Donna looked down at the expansive city that lay before them for as far as the eye could see.

    Thanks for the invitation, really looks fun, but stretched a bit thin at the moment with work and family commitments, researching a novel, my UK-based warping2gallifrey blog and building my new Australian Doctor Who Facebook group, as well as being Global Moderator for another new local on-line Who group.
    
    Busy full-time working mum, enjoy trying new things and helping other people, but I think I've reached saturation point. I know I'm doing too much when I can't fall asleep because my head is buzzing with writing ideas. Wrote several Doctor Who Haiku in my semi-sleep the other night. Had to get up every few hours to jot the stuff down in my bedside notebook, Absolutely exhausted the following morning, but had to drag myself in to work anyway.
    
    Have a month off in September when I have annual leave. The boys are at work or school during the day, so I have some quiet time to myself. If the offer's still open then, I'll definitely come back and revisit it then. Who knows, you may have enough for an anthology by then

        Absolutely happy to do so. There are some excellent fanfic writers in the new Facebook group who may be interested.
        
        Am I ok to do a post inviting people to join the new Aussie Facebook group, if you feel it's appropriate? We're gearing up for Series 4 release at the end of the month and hope to get a nice little group together by then.
        
        Overseas Whovians are most welcome. I have several members from the UK and USA, including the person who does the UK Planet Gallifrey blog

    these type of collective stories often get hilarious at some point when somebody adds comic bits and throws everybody...are there any rules to it? Like must keep the story going and not deviate too much...LOL...great big hugs..
